To kick start our topic, tremors, we have been looking at volcanoes this afternoon. We looked at how they are formed, the different types  from around the world and how they work. We watched a video showing us erupting volcanoes before the children had a go at making their own.

We use a bottle and some coloured card to create our volcano, before adding vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, washing up liquid and red food colouring. This created a reaction in the bottle causing it to foam and erupt acting like a volcano.

The children had great fun learning about volcanoes and creating their own. We cant wait to learn more about tremors in our topic this term.
