Sports Day

Pudding Lane

We were visited by the fire service to teach us about fire. The firefighter  helped us to set fire to our own ‘Pudding Lane’ that we created in the morning. We learned how fast the fire spread. Thank you to Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service for a hands-on day of learning.

Bread Baking

Having learnt that the Great Fire of London started in a bakery, we made our own bread roll. We followed a recipe, measured our ingredients and kneaded the bread with the palms of our hands. How delicious the bread tasted!

Chocolate Truffles

In design technology this week we made chocolate truffles. We used our measuring skills to weigh out the ingredients and we learnt how chocolate changes state when it is heated and cooled through observation.
