We made mallets using a saw,billhook and a mallet. We sat in the respect position and wore gloves to keep our hands safe and worked together to instruct our partner how hard to hit the mallet.
It has been very windy this week so we made kites out of different materials. Our challenge was to make a kite that would fly!
The children made leaf mobiles with a variety of different coloured leaves.
The children had lots of fun on the mudslide and practicing their fire lighting skills,ending of with a cup of hot chocolate,biscuit and a roasted marshmallow. IMG_1088 IMG_1089 IMG_1091 IMG_1093
The main focus was teamwork and communication.
In Forest School we have started building our bug hotel. So far we have work together to make the structure. Come back to find out how it progresses!
We learned how to whittle a point on a stick using a knife then turned our sticks in to gnomes! We also improved our hammering skills by making funny faces out of wood.
The children had a great time making the most of the muddy Willowbank and rain this week!
